One of the largest food business events in North America is the first major face-to-face action in which the Sabará Group’s business unit participates post-pandemic
São Paulo, April 2022 - Concepta Ingredients, a business unit of the Sabará Group, is participating in SIAL Canada, in Montreal, with the purpose of presenting its biodiversity range for food ingredients. The international food business fair takes place from April 20 to 22 and brings together major names in the market to discuss the advances in the food industry, such as the arrival of new players, changes in consumption habits and the development of the international market.
The portfolio presented by Concepta Ingredients during the event includes organic and exotic ingredients to meet the most specific industrial demands, including patauá, licuri, passion fruit and toasted babaçuoils; açaí syrup, extract, oil and powder; plant-based butter and cold-pressed linseed, sunflower and safflower oils.
For over 20 years promoting business connections, SIAL is considered the gateway to Canada’s food industry, a pathway to the North American market and others. This year’s edition welcomes more than 1200 participating companies from 50 countries, with an estimated audience of more than 25,000 delegates from North America and 60 other nations for business rounds, conferences, product line presentations, specialized hubs, and side events, among other activities.
Biodiversity Line
SIAL Canada’s target audiences range from players in food retail, food service and the food processing industry. “The fair is totally strategic, because it brings together the most innovative products in the sector. For us, presenting the Arboreto range composed of products from the Brazilian biodiversity is very important, they are technological products that extract the best from Brazilian nature and make it available for the food market”, emphasizes Lilia Kawazoe, commercial manager of the Sabará Group’s business unit.
All the work of Concepta Ingredients is based on the Bio Abundance Program, with the engagement of communities, cooperatives and associations that supply ingredients from biodiversity in initiatives that promote the conservation of the standing forest. The objectives are always to promote respect for local people, encourage the use of ingredients from Brazilian biomes, promote socioeconomic inclusion, reduce social inequality and connect the wealth of the forest to the market.
